Court rejects Anticipatory bail plea of Shirish Kulkarni
The court said that he couldn't claim that he has no connection with DSK.
Mumbai: The Bombay high court has rejected the Anticipatory bail application of Shirish Kulkarni, son of Deepak Kulkarni, founder of the DSK Group. The court has given 10 days liberty to approach Supreme Court and directed him to visit the Economic offence Wing (EOW) office in Pune till the Supreme Court hears his ABA.
On last hearing, the court directed Mr Kulkarni to surrender before the EOW and withdraw his bail application but he failed to do so. The court said that he couldn’t claim that he has no connection with DSK.
Single bench of Justice Sadhana Jadhav was hearing ABA of Shirish Kulkarni. When application came up for the hearing, the court said that he could’t recuse himself from the company. Therefore we are not ready to hear his ABA. The court further directed Mr Kulkarni to withdraw his application and surrender before the police.
The police have arrested seven accused in the said alleged scam and most of them belong to DSK family. The court had noted that money, which was invested by the people, was deposited in the bank account of DSK family. On last hearing the court was informed that Tanvi Kulkarni, wife of Shirish also approached before Pune sessions court for ABA.
