Mumbai: Parents of children admitted in the ICSE school in question are unhappy with the school’s management, saying that there have been past incidents where the management was negligent. The parents have declared that their children will not attend school until the case is solved and the management is changed.

One of the parents, Subhash Shah said, “We have now decided we will not send our child to school until this matter is solved. Generally, the principal should come forward and say something on this matter, but she chose to sit in the cabin and send an email, saying that the school will be shut for three days, as if it is a celebratory holiday.”

Some parents said this is not the first time the school’s management has acted in a negligent manner. Sheetal Mehta, a mother of two, said, “A few months ago when the school had taken Class 9 children on a picnic to Pune. They had left behind two girls at a venue, and did not realise they were missing, until the girl’s parents called up the teacher and informed them that the girls had called up the parents.”

Mrs Mehta added, “My two kids study here, and if this is the kind of treatment they get after us paying such a high fee, I might have to reconsider their admission here. Moreover, I am now scared about their safety.”
