Sena highlighted that women nowadays are standing in queues and facing a lot of hardships due to the atrocities inflicted by demonetisation of high-value currency notes.

Mumbai: Launching another attack on BJP led NDA Government, Shiv Sena has asked Centre to adopt the ordinance route to pass uniform civil code law and construct Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Shiv Sena’s mouthpiece Saamana said: “A record in issuing ordinances is being created. In such a scenario, nobody should have a problem with using ordinance route for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya and implementation of the Uniform Civil Code.”

Shiv Sena has been criticising the Central Government despite being an ally of the BJP. Raising the issue of the cash crunch, Sena highlighted that women nowadays are standing in queues and facing a lot of hardships due to the atrocities inflicted by demonetisation of high-value currency notes.

The Saamana editorial said, “Due to demonetisation, the pace of economy has slowed down and small traders are bearing its brunt. Many have been rendered unemployed.”

Questioning the impact of demonetisation on terrorism, it said: “Women, whose husbands have been martyred in the Kashmir Valley, must have felt that news reports of terror attacks reducing due to demonetisation are a farce.”

Saamana also cited the example of a person named Chotulal, who was unable to perform the last rites of his mother as he failed to withdraw cash despite standing in queues at an ATM and finally had to sell wheat to pay for the cost of the last rites. The editorial has asked PM Modi, how can such a mother bless him.
