Mumbai: Narayan Rane, President of the Maharashtra Swabhiman Paksh, slammed the Shiv Sena, challenging it to cancel the proposed green refinery project in Rajapur. He has alleged that Shiv Sena is indulging in doublespeak and supporting the project.

Mr Rane has organised a rally in Ratnagiri against the proposed green refinery project at Rajapur. He said, “Shiv Sena leaders are opposing the project in Ratnagiri and doing land deals internally. So they are cheating the people and adopting dubious role.”

Mr Rane challenged Sena by asking it to cancel the refinery project if it has the guts. He said, “I am looking at project issue from non political mind. I will meet chief minister Devendra Fadnavis very soon and will discuss about the refinery project.”

He is now aggressively campaigning against the project because Shiv Sena is supporting and agitating with the residents of 14 villages from  Rajapur.

But Mr Rane is with Bharatiya-Janata Party led  NDA and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Mr Fadnavis are very keen about the project. Still he is opposing the project. “we will not tolerate if revenue officials are threatening the villagers,” he added.
