Pravin Togadia wants law for Ram Mandir

Mumbai: VHP leader Pravin Togadia has demanded to make the law in parliament for Ram Mandir. Mr Togadia was in Aurangabad, Maharas-htra when he made this demand. He also said that it is the government’s prerogative about what it wants to do with the triple talaq and he has nothing to do with that. The hearing of Ram Mandir has started in the Supreme Court and the next date for the hearing will be March 14.

“Ram is in Vanvas and we are in home. The government should make a law in the parliament to build the Ram temple. The government should understand that people have voted for Ram temple and not for triple talaq,” said Mr Togadia. He also said that he respects the Supreme Court  but the decision is getting delayed.

Mr Togadia gave this statement in the hearing of the Ayodhya land dispute case. The bench headed by Chief Justice of India, Deepak Mishra has made remarks on Thursday that the court will hear the case as any other land dispute. “Whatever be the case, it is after all a land dispute. There are appeals and cross-appeals (against the Allahabad HC judgment on title suits) from both sides. We will decide about the land dispute after taking into account the evidence on record and after hearing both the sides,” bench said.

The Ayodhya land dispute case is one of the oldest cases of the country. In the last hearing on December 5, 2017 senior lawyer Kapil Signal had requested the court to postpone it and keep it after 2019 general elections.

The Allahabad bench had suggested that the disputed land should be divided in three parts and be given to Ram Lalla deity, Sunni Waqf Board and Nirmohi Akhara. But this decision was challenged and now the case is in the apex court.
