BJP leaders are awaiting the announcement of chairmen for different statutory corporations in the state.
Mumbai: The BJP has started working on a plan for the next general election to be held in 2019. Maharashtra BJP too has been asked to start preparations for the coming polls.
In that direction, the state BJP is scheduled to meet in its extended working committee on April 22 and April 23 in Aurangabad. Many organisational and governmental issues are on the party’s agenda for 2019.
The extended working committee of the state BJP will meet in the capital of Marathwada where the largest number of farmer suicides have occurred in the past two years. The state executive committee will discuss issues like new membership programmes to be launched soon. Also in recent civic bodies and Zilla Parishad elections, BJP could not do well in Konkan and part of Marathwada. Party leaders will discuss programmes to strengthen the organisation in these areas.
BJP will also ready a list of successful schemes to create awareness about the government’s work at the Centre and in the states. Schemes such as the Jalayukta Shivar Yojana, right to services of the state government and central government’s Pradhanmantri Ujjwala Yojana will get place in this list.
BJP leaders are awaiting the announcement of chairmen for different statutory corporations in the state. Many corporations haven’t elected chairmen and other directors.
Basically, these posts that are yet to be filled will be used to placate leaders who did not get the chance to become ministers in MLC.
All eyes will be on chief minister Devendra Fadnavis for any announcement in this direction.
