Mumbai University postpones 30 PG courses' exams by month
The exams that were supposed to be conducted in the month of April will now be conducted in May.
Mumbai: The University of Mumbai (MU) has postponed the examinations of 30 post-graduate courses by a month. Final-year students who had made plans for summer internships and job programmes after the completion of the exams may suffer due to this. Several students in Thane burnt effigies of education minister Vinod Tawde on Tuesday after hearing about the development.
While varsity officials claim that the postponement is for the benefit of students, as they would get more time for preparations, the results of the previous semester of these students are yet to be declared.
The exams that were supposed to be conducted in the month of April will now be conducted in May.
Some of the affected courses are the Master’s degree in Science, Marketing Management, Financial Management, Information Management and Human Resources Development.
