PM Modi never talks about NDA's work: Sharad Pawar
Mr Pawar has slammed Mr Modi saying that he himself has nothing to show for his government's achievements in the past five years.
Mumbai: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar has hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that he criticises Opposition parties in every speech but never informs what his government has done for the country in the past five years.
Mr Pawar has slammed Mr Modi saying that he himself has nothing to show for his government’s achievements in the past five years.
“In every speech, Mr Modi criticises the NCP and Congress, but never says what the BJP and Shiv Sena have done during the last five years,” Mr Pawar said. The Prime Minister had made a scathing attack on the Pawar family a few days ago. Reacting to this, the NCP chief said, “Everyone knows what Mr Modi has done to his family and now he is poking his nose in our family affairs.”
Mr Pawar was speaking at a rally in Ulhasnagar Tuesday night to campaign for his party candidate, Babaji Patil, who is contesting from the Kalyan Lok Sabha seat.
He said Mr Modi criticises Jawaharlal Nehru, but it was the former Prime Minister who brought industries to the country after Independence. In addition to this, late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi took Pakistan to task and Rajiv Gandhi ushered the revolution in television, computers and mobile technology in the country, he added. “But Mr Modi brought demonetisation and ruined the country,” said the NCP leader.
