Mumbai: The Bombay high court on Monday asked petitioner Ashwini Rane to list from previous high court orders the directions that not been implemented. Ms Rane had filed a PIL seeking for the CBI to probe into her husband's murder. The petition raised issues of lack of manpower and modernisation in policing. The court had issued several directions to reform the police department.

The division bench of Justice R.M. Savant and Justice S.S. Jadhav was hearing a petition filed by Ashwini Rane, which had sought a CBI probe into the murder of her husband Nikhil Rane. Nikhil, a builder from Pune, was shot dead on November 23, 2009. When the police probe reached a dead end, Ashwini approached the high court, which transferred the case to the CBI in 2011.
