Vishal Karia revealed pub owners' mobile numbers

Hotelier and alleged cricket bookie Vishal Karia is believed to have played a key role in the arrests of the absconding owners of the1 Above pub.

Mumbai: Hotelier and alleged cricket bookie Vishal Karia is believed to have played a key role in the arrests of the absconding owners of the1 Above pub.

 During interrogation, Karia revealed that he had provided Kripesh and Jigar Sanghvi and Abhijeet Mankar with SIM cards and phones, according to the police,

The cops tracked the location of their phones and arrested the accused. Sources close to the investigation revealed that after Karia was arrested on Tuesday from his Juhu residence for allegedly sheltering the then absconding accused owners of the 1 Above pub, he first denied knowing them or having contacted them after the fire that broke out on December 29.But on being interrogated again,

Karia broke down and revealed that the three owners of the 1 Above pub had driven to his Juhu residence and sought his assistance in the matter.

Two hours later, Mankar left his Audi car below Karia’s residence and went underground. But before going off the radar, Karia allegedly provided the trio with phones and SIM cards.
