Actress found dead in Amboli, murder suspected
The Amboli police is investigating the case and no arrests have been made yet.
Mumbai: A small-time actress, Kritika Chaudhary was found dead at her residence in Amboli on Monday evening after the residents complaints of a foul smell emanating from the house. An accidental death report (ADR) has been registered, however, the police suspects murder because the house was locked from the outside. The Amboli police is investigating the case and no arrests have been made yet.
Chaudhary, a resident of SRA Colony in Andheri east, originally from Haridwar, had come to the city with the dream of making it big in the Bollywood industry. According to sources, she had also taken up some modelling assignments to support her career.
A police officer said to the The Asian Age on the condition of anonymity, “The body was found at 3.45 pm on Monday after people complained of the smell.” The police has primarily registered an ADR but is also looking to find new angles. The police is investigating the case and is questioning the neighbours to ascertain the reasons that led to the alleged murder.
The police is yet to ascertain whether she was staying alone in the house or she was accompanied by a friend. The police is trying to reach her friends and acquaintances to learn more about the deceased. The neighbours in the area do not know much about Chaudhary and her family is likely to be contacted to inform them about their daughter’s suspected murder.
