Armaan Kohli held for beating girlfriend

Mumbai: A team of the Santa Cruz police on Tuesday arrested actor Armaan Kohli from a farmhouse in Lonavala after he had allegedly been absconding for a week in the wake of his girlfriend Neeru Randhawa registering an assault case against him.

Deputy commissioner and Mumbai police spokesperson Deepak Deoraj said, “Kohli has been brought to Mumbai, and further questioning is underway.”

Kohli allegedly assaulted his girlfriend on Sunday night over a financial issue relating to a villa owned by the accused in Goa. When the police reached Kohli’s Juhu residence, he was not present, said sources.

According to police sources, Ms Randhawa, a fashion designer, was in a live-in relationship with Kohli for three years. In her complaint, Ms Randhawa said that late on Sunday the couple had an argument following which he pushed her down a flight of stairs and hit her. “Kohli also allegedly held her by the hair and banged her head several times on the floor and wall,” a police source said.
