MTDC's resort conferred diving award

PADI has granted accreditation to scuba diving centres across 180 countries and India is one of them.

Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has got a boost in its tourism for snorkelling-related activities. The Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), one of the key diver training organisations, conferred the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation’s Tarkarli resort the title of a five-star dive resort in terms of safety of tourists.

Maharashtra is blessed with natural resources in abundance and serene landscape. Witnessing the demand for adventure sports, MTDC is promoting Tarkarli as a destination for tourists, where they can enjoy various diving activities including wreck diving and wall diving. PADI has granted accreditation to scuba diving centres across 180 countries and India is one of them.

State minister of tourism Jaykumar Rawal and scuba divers of MTDC Tarkali Resort received this prestigious award in the presence of  Vijay Gautam, (IAS), principal secretary, department of tourism and culture, Government of Maharashtra.
