Priya Dutt, Milind Deora in 2nd list of congress candidates

Mumbai: Priya Dutt and Milind Deora has been figured in the second list of the Congress party. The party on Wednesday released names of 21 candidates. The list also figures five names from Maharashtra.

Earlier Ms Priya had refused to contest the election but after meeting Congress Party president Rahul Gandhi, she had made up her mind to contest the election.

According to the list, Milind Deora would contest from South Mumbai, while Ms Dutt would contest the election from the Mumbai North Central seat.

Nana Patole would contest from Nagpur, Namdev Usendi will contest from Gadchiroli-Chimur. Sushil Kumar Shinde would fight from Solapur. The remaining 16 candidates have  been declared from the Uttar Pradesh.

During the Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Mumbai earlier in this month, former Congress Member of Parliament (MP) Priya Dutt, who had refused to contest in the general election, met him. He had asked her to reconsider over her decision.
