27-year-old model Kritika Chaudhary found dead at her residence in Andheri on Monday.

Mumbai: The Amboli police, who are probing the murder of model Kritika Chaudhary (27), whose decomposed body was found at her residence on Monday, has questioned several of her acquaintances including a ‘special’ male friend. The cops are also trying to find the whereabouts of Chaudhary’s estranged husband, who is basically from Mumbai. The police has formed four teams to verify the facts that have come forward in the investigation.

Sources from Amboli police station claimed that they are interrogating people who are even remotely related to this case. In the police probe, they have detained Chaudhary’s male friend, who is a main suspect in the case. The cops feel that he is likely to throw light on the sequence of events on the day of the incident. The police have also confirmed that the post-mortem report shows there were no signs of sexual assault on the deceased’s body.

Speaking to The Asian Age, ACP Arun Chavan who is investigating this case said, “We have a few leads in the case but those need to be under wraps for a brief period till we have strong proof. The investigation is underway and the police department is trying to nab the unknown accused at the earliest.”

One of Chaudhary’s neighbour, who stays at Shree Bhairavnath building at Four Bungalows in Andheri West said that she was staying as a tenant for the past two years, but always kept to herself. “She never socialised with the other members of the building. We did not even know she was a model until we saw it in the newspapers on Tuesday,” the neighbour said.
