Mumbai: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on Friday said the Pulwama terror attack was an attack on the nation and there should be no attempts to politicise the issue. The former Union minister also took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over some of the latter’s statements after such attacks during the Congress-led UPA regime.
Speaking with reporters at his residence Govindbaug at Baramati, the NCP supremo said that when Narendra Modi was the chief minister of Gujarat, he used to demand the resignation of the then-Prime Minister Manmohan Singh terror attacks had taken place. He added that though he would not demand Mr Modi’s resignation, the attacks had “exposed the government’s failure”.
