Congress-NCP lack leadership, direction: Uddhav Thackeray
The election would be held at Amravati Lok Sabha constituency in eastern Maharashtra on April 18.
Mumbai: Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday said that the Congress-NCP alliance in Maharashtra lacked both leadership and direction.
The Sena-BJP alliance would win all 48 Lok Sabha seats in the state, Thackeray said, addressing a campaign rally for sitting MP and Sena candidate Anandrao Adsul in Amravati. Attacking the Congress-NCP, the Sena chief said, “The Congress-NCP alliance is leaderless and rudderless. They even struggled to find candidates.”
Referring to the air strike at Balakot, Thackeray said that Pakistan had been taught a lesson by carrying out the strike through the Indian Air Force on a terrorist training camp at Balakot. Pitching for “a strong and safe nation”, he also said that PM Narendra Modi must get another term in office. The steps taken by the NDA government for the farmers' welfare were bearing fruit. Referring to alleged scams that took place during the Congress-NCP regime in the state, the Sena chief said that if these parties came back to power, the country would be plunged into “darkness”. The election would be held at Amravati Lok Sabha constituency in eastern Maharashtra on April 18.
