Two from marriage party die in road mishap, 30 hurt

Nasik: Two persons, including a five-year-old boy, were killed while 30 others were injured when the tempo they were travelling in overturned near Wadiwarhe village in Nashik district, off the Mumbai-Agra high-way on Tuesday  afternoon.

According to sources, the tempo was carrying a marriage party from Pathardi Phata towards Asvali village, when the mishap occurred near

Waldevi River. The tempo, No MH-DK-2090, was speeding when the driver lost control and the mishap occurred around 12 noon. Local villagers, police and ambulances arrived promptly and took the injured persons to the Nashik civil hospital and private hospitals. The two deceased. Kartik Deepak Mali (5) of Naigaon and Gopal Ramesh Pawar (40) of Pathardi phata in Nashik city were part of a wedding party.

In another accident on Monday night in Nashik, a would- be bridegroom, who was distributing his wedding invitations, died in a mishap in the Cidco area. Sources said that, Nilesh Bal Dhivare’s marriage was scheduled for December 25 December at Satana town. A resident of Satana, he had come to Nashik city on a motorcycle on Monday to distribute his wedding invitations to his relatives.

He had planned on spending the night with his maternal uncle in Cidco. But on the way, his motorcycle dashed against a road divider near Atul Dairy at 11.45 pm and he suffered injuries to his head.
