Mumbai: Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday announced a one-window digital system for shooting clearances for web series and TV serials from August 15.
“Since the last year-and-a-half, we have been laying the ground for a one-window digital clearance system for films and web series. We will launch the system on 15 August,” Mr Fadnavis said.
He was replying on the issue of attack on the cast and crew of a web series in Thane.
Mr Fadnavis promised “attaching” action against the policemen if they are found involved in negligence.
Earlier in the day, a Bollywood delegation met Mr Fadnavis, who assured them of the state government’s full co-operation.
Mr Fadnavis informed the Legislative Council that five accused have been arrested, while three are still at large.
Mr Fadnavis also directed the police to investigate any previous cases against those arrested and invoke the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act if found necessary.
The cast and crew of web series, “Fixer”, were reportedly attacked on Tuesday.
