Man gets three years' jail for molestation

Mumbai: A real estate agent has been sentenced to three years in prison for molesting a minor girl employee in his office after calling her on duty on Sunday.

The girl, now 23 years old, used to work at the office of accused as his assistant. The victim had joined the office in May 2014, when she was 17-years-old. As per prosecution case the incident happened two days after the girl started working at the accused’s firm. She had joined the company on May 16. The next day the accused asked the victim to attend the office for work on May 18, which was a Sunday.

Public prosecutor Rakesh Tiwari had examined the victim as witness and she had told the court that she was told that other girls would also come to office but when she reached office there was nobody except her and the employer.

In the afternoon, the accused forced her to drink beer. He then played porn contents on his laptop and touched her inappropriately. She managed to run away when the accused tried to remove her cloths. Relying on her testimony a POCSO court convicted and sentenced the accused to three years of imprisonment.
