E-auction on MHADA app to begin in June
A total of 108 shops will be available for e-auction, and applicants can quote their bids through the app.
Mumbai: Mumbaikars can start registering on the latest MHADA (Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority) mobile application for the e-auction of shops/commercial premises from June.
The app is almost ready. A total of 108 shops will be available for e-auction, and applicants can quote their bids through the app.
Once the registrations are done, the bidding process will start in July. Meanwhile, post lottery payment procedure will be digitised soon, revealed a senior MHADA official.
“Recently we conducted a test drive on the app, it is almost ready to use. The registrations should begin by next month. We will give time for the people to register and then they will be scrutinised before the bidding process. We are going to upload the photos of the properties so that they can identify and quote the price,” said a senior MHADA official.
He further added, “The e-auction will eliminate manual interference and pre-decided bidding.” Further, as per the officials, few minor changes are to be done in the application post which it will be put forward before the designated committee for approval.
These premises are spread over in areas like Sion, Kurla, Mazgaon, Mankhurd, Powai, Mulund, Jogeshwari, Goregaon, Kandivili etc. According to reports, such an auction is conducted after seven years.
Meanwhile, the authority is planning to digitise the payment procedure of lottery winners, in order to bring more transparency and pace in the post lottery procedures.
The 2017 lottery was declared in February this year, around 817 homes were up for the lottery.
