Declare all reserved results, says Gov to MU
The MU is yet to release RR category (reserved results) as a majority of them are either unassessed or have been misplaced.
Mumbai: The Maharashtra governor and the University of Mumbai (MU) Chancellor, Ch. Vidyasagar Rao has directed the varsity to declare all results that are being held in reserve on a priority basis. There are around 11,000 such results.
Speaking at an official meeting of MU officials, Mr Rao also directed the varsity to conduct the winter examinations between November 8 and December 20, so that they don’t clash with the Diwali vacations.
The governor also directed that the results of the winter examinations be declared with 30 days, and in any case within 45 days, as per the Maharashtra Public University Act.
Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, who was also present at the meeting, said the mistakes which led to the delay in declaring results of the summer examinations, conducted in April-May, should not be repeated.
The MU is yet to release RR category (reserved results) as a majority of them are either unassessed or have been misplaced.
The controller of examinations, Dr Arjun Ghatule assured that they will soon declare the reserved results, which are called ‘incremental results’, on their new website.
Mr Rao further directed that while granting any affiliation to a college, an information technology based framework would be used, wherein the process of constituting the local inspection team, conducting the inspection process and recording evidence shall be carried out in a foolproof and transparent manner.
