Nashik Minister urges farmers to take up organic methods

Nashik: Calling upon farmers to take to organic farming, Nashik guardian minister Girish Mahajan said that it would help in increasing their customer base. Speaking at various programmes in Nashik on Sunday, the minister said that organic produce would fetch a better prices compared to other farming practices. Mr Mahajan also received the ‘Karyasham Aamdar’ (capable award) given by a local institution on Sunday.
Speaking further upon agriculture, he announced that the state government has decided to organise agriculture exhibitions throughou the state to help farmers update their knowledge.
“During exhibitions, the latest technologies are shown to the farmers, which can help in development of agriculture. Farmers too should visit exhibitions and try out new technologies,” he urged.
