Mumbai: Kajal Sharma, the former office assistant of Indrani Mukerjea who is an accused in the 2012 Sheena Bora murder case, said during her cross-examination on Thursday that Mukerjea had allegedly pressurised her to forge Sheena's signature on documents including the latter's flat's leave and licence agreement and her resignation letter. Sheena's signatures were allegedly forged at a time when she was dead with an intention to camouflage the murder.

Kajal further claimed that when Indrani was arrested by the police in the case, the former had been called to the Khar police station to submit all emails of Indrani sent to her. She said that due to Indrani's pressure she forged Sheena's signature on the documents. She further claimed that she was oblivious to the fact that forging means faking a signature till she reached the police station. Kajal, who is a prosecution witness, was cross-examined by Mukerjea's lawyer Sudeep Pasbola.

During the cross-examination Kajal told the court that Indrani used to email her every day. During the investigation she had an open email and gave emails to the police as well as Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Kajal used to communicate with Indrani via Skype and she also helped Shyamvar Rai to open a Skype account.

She also said that Shyamvar Rai and Pradeep Waghmare used to come to office but their time was not fixed and she had never maintained any register for the attendance.  Kajal told that apart from the email she never kept any written record.
