Mumbai: The Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaReRA) has ordered a developer to advance the possession date of a project by four years as he was delaying the project on grounds that were not allegedly convincing. The developer had set the date for possession as 2027 on the website, but it has been brought to 2023.

The complainant, Nitin Kachane had purchased a flat in 2007 but is yet to get the flat’s possession. According to the order, the developer, RTG Infrastructure and Realtors Limited, revised the possession date to 2027 while registering with the authority. “The respondent shall handover possession of the apartments with Occupancy Certificate, to the complainants before the period ending May 31, 2018,” states the order.
