Mumbai: Slamming chief minister Devendra Fadnavis over the delay in granting reservation to Marathas, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray in an editorial in the party mouthpiece ‘Saamana’ said that rural development minister Pankaja Munde should be made the chief minister for at least an hour to sign the file of Maratha reservation.
Ms Munde recently met agitators at Parali. While assuring them about Maratha reservation, She made a comment that, “If the file would have been on my table, I would have approved it immediately.” Later she clarified that, “ The matter is pending in the high court and Mr Fadnavis or I cannot do anything.”
Referring Ms Munde’s statement, Mr Thackeray said, “Pankaja Munde should be made CM at least for one hour as the reservation is delayed. Revenue minister Chandrakant Patil said, CM Fadnavis is working hard till 3 am. Mr Thackeray taunting at him said, “He could not sleep because of Maratha Kranti Morcha stir. He should find out and open the file from red ribbon and approve it. Mr Fadnavis might not be able to sleep fearing that Ms Munde may sign the file.”
Mr Thackeray slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi over foreign tours and demanded that, Mr Fadnavis might have thought that Union government should step in on the issue. But Union government also doesn’t have the solution for it.
