CM Fadanvis asks infra projects to be accelerated
Mr Fadnavis further asked the MHADA to start the construction of these houses at the earliest.
Mumbai: Chief minister Devendra Fadanvis instructed the officials to accelerate various infrastructure projects initiated by the government. He even asked that additional resources should be generated for these projects. A meeting, headed by Mr Fadnavis in this regard was held on Monday at Mantralaya.
“The state government has launched a number of infrastructure projects and to accelerate these projects the government intends to raise additional resources. If the additional funds with CIDCO, Slum Renovation Tribunal, MHADA, MIDC, Construction Workers’ Welfare Board, MMRDA, and other such boards, corporations and tribunals will be invested in government bonds it would benefit both the parties. The corporations, boards and tribunals will have the right to these funds and the same will be made available to them as and when needed,” the chief minister said.
Mr Fadnavis also directed the MHADA administration to hand over the houses as soon as they are completed to those policemen who are residing in the BDD chawls since the last 30 years. This time, he was speaking at another meeting of BDD chawl rehabilitation project at Mantralaya.
He asked the home department to decide the criteria while disbursing the houses to the police officials.
