Man arrested for allegedly molesting prof on skywalk

According to the police, the incident took place on Friday afternoon on the Bandra skywalk, when the 58-year-old victim was on her way back home.

Mumbai: Bandra police has arrested a 37-year-old man for allegedly molesting the professor of a Bandra-based college on a skywalk on Friday. The accused, Wajid Nagori, had allegedly tried to walk past her and pushed her on the ground, to force himself on her. Nagori is accused of touching the woman inappropriately, following which she cried for help and the people caught him and handed  over him to Bandra police.

According to the police, the incident took place on Friday afternoon on the Bandra skywalk, when the 58-year-old victim was on her way back home.

A senior official from Bandra police station confirmed the incident and said that the arrest has been made under section 354 of the Indian Penal Code that pertains to molestation. Nagori has been sent to police custody till Thursday.
