BEST to ply 156 extra buses during Diwali
Eighteen bus services will be plied from October 31 while 136 bus services will be operated during Diwali.
Mumbai: To provide relief to commuters during the festive season, the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply & Transport Undertaking (BEST) has decided to ply an additional 156 buses in two legs. Eighteen bus services will be plied from October 31 while 136 bus services will be operated during Diwali.
According to the BEST, these buses will be plied between Veer Kotwal Udyan and Plaza, Dadar and Bandra, Mahatma Phule Market and Kalbadevi, and APMC market and Vashi.
Hanumant Gophane, public relations officer, Brihanmumbai Electric Supply & Transport Undertaking, said that an additional 18 buses will be plied from October 31 to November 5.
“On the day of Bhaubeej, 136 additional services will be plied on the roads of Mumbai city, eastern and western suburbs, Mira Road, Bhayandar, Matheran Chauk (Thane), Kopari (Thane), Cadbury junction (Thane), Retibunder, Kalva, Navi Mumbai, Vashi, Koparkhairane, Nerul, Airoli, Ghansoli and Belapur CBD among others,” he said.
