Ruling out the possibility of murder of Bollywood actress Jiah Khan the CBI in its supplementary chargesheet, filed recently, has added some more witnesses with forensic and documentary evidence against Suraj Pancholi in an attempt to prove that the false promise of marriage, pregnancy, abortion and misbehaviour of the accused allegedly driven her to take the extreme step.

The chargesheet says that during investigation the CBI found a note (the alleged suicide note) written by Nafisa alias Jiah Khan, “Wherein she has narrated her intimate relationship, the physical abuse, the mental and physical torture that she experienced.” According to CBI, “Though the note is not signed by Jiah Khan or addressed to Suraj Pancholi, however evidences on hand suggested that this note incriminates Suraj Pancholi only.”

The investigating agency has also tried to draw a negative inference from the fact that Suraj refused to undergo scientific tests in this matter. What also went against Suraj according to CBI, “On the basis of forensic psychological assessment and behavioral analysis interview, it may be inferred that Suraj is hiding some relevant information related to death/suicide of Jiah and did not want to disclose some content of last argument with her that may be a cause of her death.”

The CBI chargesheet has claimed that the note written by the deceased establishes that the false promise given by Suraj to Jiah in the note that “you promised me once we made it to one year we would get engaged” believing to be engaged made her emotionally attached to him.

According to the CBI the wilful conduct of the accused drove the accused to commit suicide and hence Suraj is liable for his actions to be punished for willful conduct and abetment of suicide.CBI also said that its investigation revealed that (due to his promises) Jiah used to clean his room, used to iron his dress and stack it in his cupboard, clean his dining table and purchased decorative articles to decorate room of Suraj whenever she went to stay with him. It also said that Jiah presented gifts to Suraj.

To come to conclusion that Jiah was not murdered, CBI has relied upon the post-mortem report, which said that there are no marks of struggle and hence suicide is not ruled out. It also said that investigation revealed that no unknown person or any suspicious persons found on the day of incident at the relevant found in CCTV footage when the incident had happened. The chargesheet speaks in detail about physical relationship between Jiah and Suraj.
