Results of the thallium scan test performed on senior NCP leader, Chhagan Bhujbal, came in on Friday. While hospital authorities refused to divulge details of the findings, it is learnt that the dean of state-run J.J. Hospital and Arthur Road Jail authorities will mutually decide whether Bhujbal should be kept at Bombay Hospital or shifted back to J.J. Hospital. Sources said that Bhujbal would remain at Bombay Hospital for one or two days.

Bhujbal was admitted to Bombay Hospital on Wednesday evening for a thallium scan test which was performed on Thursday. The results, which are being kept secret, will be submitted to the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) Court.

Dr B.K. Goyal, Director, Cardiology, Bombay Hospital, who is treating Bhujbal, told The Asian Age, “The reports have come and will be submitted to the dean of J.J. Hospital. They will take a call accordingly whether Bhujbal should be kept at Bombay Hospital or sent back to J.J. Hospital.”

“Bhujbal is stable and kept under observation. His thallium scan test was done on Thursday,” he said.

However, the dean of JJ Hospital, Dr T.P. Lahane, said, “The reports of Bhujbal’s test will be submitted in the PMLA Court. For the thallium scan, Bombay Hospital will decide what treatment he needs. Once he is done at the Bombay Hospital, jail authorities will decide what to do with him.”
