Lindsay Lohan claims she was asked to remove hearscarf at London Airport
The actress made the confession on the talk show 'Good Morning Britain,' hosted by Piers Morgan.
Melbourne: Lindsay Lohan, who has always been vocal about her inclination towards Islam, recently claimed that she was 'racially profiled' for wearing a headscarf at London's Heathrow Airport.
The 30-year-old star, during her recent appearance on the talk show 'Good Morning Britain,' said that she was stopped while travelling to New York, reports News.com.au.
According to Lohan, an airport worker "opened my passport and saw 'Lindsay Lohan' and started immediately apologizing, but then said: 'Please take off your headscarf'."
While discussing this incident with host Piers Morgan, the 'Mean Girls' actress said that it made her wonder "how would another woman, who doesn't feel comfortable taking off her headscarf, feel?"
On the same note, Lohan, who was returning from Turkey, where she recently met President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, explained that she wore a headscarf in Turkey out of "personal respect."
In January, the 'Freaky Friday' actress sparked rumours after deleting all her Instagram posts and changing her status to 'Alaikum salam,' the Arabic phrase for 'peace be with you.'
During her appearance, Lohan admitted she finds 'solace' studying Islam, but refused to confirm if she would convert to the religion.
