Mumbai: Last week, singer Sona Mohapatra called out IIT-Bombay’s sexist attitude in a Facebook post where she mentioned how the premier institute has invited her several times to perform but only if she shared a stage with a male singer at their campus festival, and also that the review of their list of performers over the years were dominated by male artists.

As trolls on social media left no stone unturned to attack Sona on Facebook by calling her an attention seeker among several insults. One cyber-bully hit out at the artist in a condescending manner asking if she has enough chartbusters to her name to pull off a three hour concert by herself, and Sona mince no words as she hit back.

She wrote how simply covers of popular songs sung by different artists do not make for a concert and that she does have a band with whom she can slay a three hour concert, as her busy schedule evidently states. She mentioned that she doesn’t need chartbusters for this.
