A sinking ship

The issue of Sri Lanka Tamils couldn’t have come at a more appropriate time for the DMK, which was probably looking for an opportunity to part ways with the UPA as this government’s future looks bleak. The chances of the UPA returning to power in 2014 are slim, though it is still too early to come to a conclusion. One year is a long period for things to change in politics. Only time will tell if the DMK’s decision to quit the alliance was right or if it abandoned the seemingly sinking ship of the UPA a bit too early.
