Another hat-trick by Shekhar

Apeejay School’s Shekhar once again impressed with a hat-trick and helped his team secure a place in the quarter-finals of the Airtel Rising Stars football tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium on Wednesday. The Noida-based school blanked Ryan International School, Ghaziabad, 6-0. On the day, Bhowmick scored as early as in the eighth minute while Aditya converted a neat pass to double the lead for Apeejay School. While their opponents were trying to make a come back, Shekhar dashed their hopes scoring in the 18th, 29th and 32nd minutes as Ajeejay School took a 5-0 cushion. Nitish completed the rout in the 40th minute. In another match, Mayur Vihar-based Father Agnel School defeated Army Public School, Noida, 2-0. Brijesh (30th minute) and Meinghow (40th minute) were the goal scoreres. DPS Vasant Kunj, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vasant Vihar, CRPF School, Rohini, Govt. School, Rohini, Sec-11, N.K.Bargodia, Rohini and G.D Goenka, Rohini were the teams to enter the last 16 stage.
