Even before the release of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara, producer Ekta Kapoor had announced that she had cast the lead pair, Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha, in an upcoming film. The powerhouse producer, perhaps got carried away with their onscreen chemistry, and made a formal announcement even before OUATIMD released. Soon, however, there were stories about Shahid Kapoor replacing Imran in Ekta’s film, so we just had to ask Imran himself about what the real story was. “When we work as a team on a film, there are many such plans. I’m guessing this was just one of that. I was never approached for any new film with Balaji,” Imran clarified. The actor seemed confused about the reports that Shahid had “replaced” him in the film and added that given the chance, he’d love to work with Ekta again. “She is a great filmmaker who understands the pulse of the audience, but right now I’m only focusing on Gori Tere Pyar Mein,” he told us.
