Ranveer Singh is known for his “never say die attitude”. From getting injured several times on the sets of his films and continuing to shoot, to rehearsing 17 hours a day, his dedication to his craft is much talked-about. The actor made no exception for Gunday. The last schedule of the Yash Raj film was in Kolkata. He along with his costars Priyanka Chopra and Arjun Kapoor were in the city and its outskirts when the shooting of the film came to an abrupt halt. It was heard that Ranveer contracted a viral infection and suffered from high fever during the shoot in Durgapur, a town near Kolkata. Despite the discomfort, Ranveer chose to continue to shoot on schedule. According to the unit members, the actor did not want to cause any inconvenience and loss to the production. But he might have exerted himself a bit too much. One of his team members says, “On his return to Mumbai he was diagnosed with a severe case of dengue fever. He is presently admitted in a suburban hospital. Hospital sources were surprised that Ranveer continued to work despite being so sick. As of now it’s not known how long it will be before he is back in action. But Ranveer is his usual optimistic self. The illness hasn’t changed his temperament.” Let’s hope the Ram Leela actor bounces back soon.
