The brazenness with which the Italian government snubbed India by deciding not to send back its marines, charged with the killing of two Indian fishermen, is only matched by the pusillanimity with which the Indian government has handled the issue. Italy’s breach of trust is condemnable. It has become a practice for other nations to hoodwink India because it does not have a strong leader and strong policies. Apart from issuing warnings and criticising Italy’s action, what more can India do
