The CST Government Railway Police (GRP) has tracked a missing boy and handed him over to his parents. Two-and-a-half-year-old Pintu was reported missing on February 1. The boy was travelling with his mother, but as she is psychologically unfit, she was unable to recollect where she lost her son. The CST GRP then launched a drive to locate the boy and finally found him in a creche at Vasai. Senior police inspector of CST GRP, Surendra Deshmukh said, “The mother of the boy left her home on February 1 and got lost. She was later found at Kalyan station, but baby Pintu was missing and when asked by family members, she could not recollect where she had lost her son. A social worker, Parvati Mahalingam asked the parents to file a missing complaint at Nehru Nagar police station. When the mother finally recollected that she had lost the baby at CST, the case was reported to the CST GRP on February 17.” The CST GRP formed a team comprising members of the juvenile squad and started looking for the missing child. Later, the team came to know that a boy had been handed over by the Vasai police to an orphanage and claimed him.
