Resveratrol, a substance found in red grapes and red wine, according to a published laboratory study from Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, shows that healthy rats are less likely to suffer the long-term effects of noise-induced hearing loss when given resveratrol before being exposed to loud noise for a long period of time. “Our latest study focuses on resveratrol and its effect on bioinflammation, the body’s response to injury and something that is believed to be the cause of many health problems including Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, aging and hearing loss,” lead author Michael D. James raunchy novel Fifty Shades of Grey is eyeing a summer 2014 release, Universal has confirmed. The highly-anticipated adaptation is yet to tap a director and actors for the lead role of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. Universal’s chairman Adam Fogelson said that while they don’t want to hurry with the film series, it is an “absolute priority” for them. “It is an absolute priority for us. It’s conceivable that we could be ready to release it as early as next summer,” he said.
