The landmark judgment by the Supreme Court that enables voters to reject all candidates is a triumph of the spirit of democracy. With this move, political parties will be liable to project only those candidates who have a clean record in politics. This gives hope for good governance. Since democracy is all about the choice of people, it is only right to have an option of negative voting so that the public is not forced to choose between unscrupulous elements.
