Veena ready for a new innings

Actress Veena Malik, who has been associated with the world of cricket for quite sometime now, is geared up to host a segment on a Hindi television news channel along with former Pakistani cricketer Zaheer Abbas. The segment will focus on the ongoing India-Pakistan series comprising two T20 matches and three one-day internationals. Veena will be hosting the show and discussing strategies of both teams. “I have been a diehard cricket fan and follow the game religiously. It is a great pleasure to host a show with someone as great as Zaheer Abbas. I have been offered several projects but this cricket season I am taking my passion for the game into account which is why I have decided to do the show,” said Veena. Veena’s association with Indian television began in 2010 with the fourth season of reality television show Bigg Boss. She is the former girlfriend of Pakistani bowler Mohammad Asif who is banned for life following a match-fixing scandal.
