The family members of 21-year-old student Anmol Sarna on Sunday accused the police for saving his four friends and framing two security guards in his murder. The family demanded that the probe should be handed over to the crime branch. Anmol’s mother Sushma Sarna said his four friends who were with him might have killed him. “I want to know what happened in that room where they were having the party. My son died of head injuries and I am sure those injuries were not caused by guards’ beating,” alleged Mrs Sarna. Ripika Bedi, the cousin sister of Anmol, alleged that the police was ignoring important facts in the case. “The security guards are innocent, they have been framed by the police. My brother suffered injuries after being beaten up by his friends,” she said. She further said that the police told her that they did not find evidence to charge Anmol’s friends with murder. She said that the role of the PCR van, which took Anmol to the hospital, is also suspicious. “The PCR van took 45 minutes to reach the hospital, it is highly unbelievable,” she said. Ms Bedi further alleged that Anmol’s friends might have given him double dose of the drugs or something else to consume after which he lost his sense completely. Akshay Sharma, the lawyer of the family, said it has been mentioned in the FIR that the police found blood stain at several places in flat number 95 where the party was being held but still the police is not ready to believe that he was beaten up by his friends. “We have doubts that the local police did not make effort to collect evidence from the crime scene. They reached the spot three hours after the incident. Anmol’s post-mortem report has revealed that he had three head injures and also had genital injuries. The guards hit him with stick but only on his back not on head,” said Mr Sharma.
