Vishnu Prasad stretched overall lead to 66 points after winning both races on Sunday in the third and penultimate round of the LGB Formula JKTyre FMSCI National Racing Championship at Kari Motor Speedway Track here. Prasad has 15-point lead over his MECO Racing team-mate Rahul Rangaswamy (51 points). The final round will be played at Buddh Internatoinal Circuit next month. Chennai’s Prasad had also won the race on Saturday from Rahul and Rohit Khanna with a finishing gap of 0.030 with his team mate Rahul. Prasad bettered the winning gap on Sunday morning with 5.883 seconds as Rohit pipped Rahul for second place in a photo finish with gap of 0.015 seconds in the morning.

In the afternoon race, MECO Racing got yet another one-two in Coimbatore with Chennai mates Vishnu and Rahul in a close finish with just 0.023 seconds separating the two close friends on and off the track as well.

Anindith Reddy and Ananth Shanmugam had another podium finishes in the third round and penultimate round of the Euro JK 16 here on Sunday. Both Euro International team players were on the podium in both the races on Saturday as well. Reddy leads the overall with 76 points with Shanmugam also on 76. Nayan Chatterjee is third on 73 points.

However, it was Karthik Tharani who won first race of the day by clocking 19:02.141 minutes to cover 15 laps. He defended his lead well despite almost losing it twice. But Hyderabad boy Anindith (15:42:671) claimed the third top podium finish here in two days to put pressure on Shanmugam who finished second in the afternoon race.

Meanwhile, Ashish Ramaswamy won the JK Touring Cup race with a timing of 12:43.557 in 10 laps. Radha Selvaranjan came distant second (1.024 gap) followed by Deepak Paul Chinnappa.
