Mumbai: England pacer Jofra Archer, who bowled the dramatic super over in the World Cup 2019 final against New Zealand, took the fans by storm by his old tweet regarding youngster Prithvi Shaw.

After the Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI) handed an eight-month suspension to Prithvi Shaw for doping violations, fans discovered a 'prediction' that was made by Archer four years ago. Archer, in his tweet had seemingly expressed disappointment over Prithvi Shaw's ban from playing cricket.

"Unlucky shaw," Jofra Archer had said in his tweet.

Indian fans flooded the tweet, praising the bowler's supernatural powers of predicting the future.

BCCI, in their statement, said that they were satisfied with the explanation given by Shaw that he had taken Terbutaline inadvertently to treat a Respiratory Tract Infection and not as a performance-enhancing drug.

The eight-month period of ineligibility would begin retrospectively from March 16 and will end on November 15 this year.

Responding to the ban, Shaw took to his Twitter page and wrote, "I have to take this in my stride & hope it inspires others in our sports fraternity too in India that we as athletes need to be extremely careful in taking any medicine for the smallest of medical ailments even if the medicine is available over the counter & we need to always follow the protocol."
