India Red to meet green in Duleep Trophy final
A 73-run partnership between Avesh Khan and Sandeep Warrier helped Red take the first innings honours.
BENGALURU: The Duleep Trophy match between India Red and India Green ended in a draw here at KSCA Ground, Alur, on Sunday. Red who took the first innings lead against Green finished the league stage on top with six points.
Green and Blue were tied on two points each, but the former progressed to the final on better net run-rate (0.057). Blue’s NRR was 0.028. Red will take on Green at M. Chinnaswamy stadium from Wednesday.
Avesh continued from where he left off on day three. He smashed two sixes off spinners, Rahul Chahar and Dharmendrasinh Jadeja. On Sunday, Red managed to overhaul Green's first innings total of 440 and were immediately bowled out after taking a one-run lead.
