BCCI might punish MS Dhoni for breaching this rule

The rule states, the wives and girlfriends (WAGs) can meet with their Indian partners after the initial 20 days of the tournament.

Mumbai: Former Indian captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni might land himself in trouble after his wife was spotted in the stands. The former World Cup winning captain, MS Dhoni has reportedly breached BCCI’s rule of not inviting female partners before.

The rule states, the wives and girlfriends (WAGs) can meet with their Indian partners after the initial 20 days of the tournament, and for a period of only 15 days.

However, the WAGs of the Indian cricketers can’t meet the Indian World Cuppers before June 26, but, it also depends on how well the team is performing.  

Apparently, Sakshi Dhoni was found at the Rose bowl Stadium in Southampton during the match against South Africa, clicking pictures with her daughter, Ziva Dhoni. Dhoni’s daughter was also seen cheering for her dad.  

Sakshi shared the pictures on her Instagram account, but, prior to that there was no news regarding her sudden appearance at the Rose bowl stadium.

Earlier, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had directed the cricketers to not invite their partners to accompany them for the first 20 days from the unit’s tour to England and Wales, while the Pakistan players will be spending time without their families for the whole World Cup.
