New Delhi: Former India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, also known as 'Captain Cool' turned 36 today and on the occasion of his birthday, warm wishes poured in on Twitter.

Dhoni was handed the perfect birthday gift as the Men in Blue crushed West Indies by eight wickets in the fifth and final ODI to win the series 3-1.

The wicketkeeper-batsman is India's most successful Test, ODI and T20I captain.

He retired from the longest format of the game in December 2014, but continued to lead the national side in limited-overs before announcing that he would give up the leadership of the ODI and T20I sides on January 4 this year.

Dhoni is also the only captain to win all three major ICC tournaments - the 50-over World Cup, the Champions Trophy and the World T20. He also led India to the top of the ICC Test rankings in December 2009.
