Earlier, after India won the second T20I match, India equalled Pakistan’s rare world record of most T20I wins in an away series. Anushka joined Virat Kohli at the start of the tour. Currently, the 30-year-old actress is on a break.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli regained his T20I form after a few cameos. Kohli struck 59 from 45 balls along with aggressor Rishabh Pant who scored 65 from 42 balls to steer India home. The duo helped India chase down a tricky target of 147 in 19.1 overs.
Rishabh Pant who was hugely criticised for throwing his wickets away in the 2019 World Cup and during the first two T20I matches, played a sensible yet fiery knock as the pair stitched 106-runs partnership. Throughout the whole 106-runs stand, Kohli instilled a certain sense of game awareness into Pant.
After the win, Kohli and the cricket fans praised Pant, who came under severe criticism for throwing his wicket away in the first-two matches.
Khaleel Ahmed was rested as he played the first two matches in Florida and scalped only 1 wicket in the first T20I.
After the win, Kohli tweeted a photo his team, stating that after the capturing the T20Is, India’s next target will be to win the ODI series which is scheduled to start from August 8. However, it remains to be seen if Khaleel Ahmed is incuded in the playing XI.
