Sunil Chettri goes past Lionel Messi to be 2nd top active international footballer

Cristiano Ronaldo still continues to be in the top of the list.

Mumbai: Sunil Chettri broke yet another record after he crossed Messi to be the second-highest goalscorer in international football among the active footballers.  
During the Intercontinental Cup match against Tajikistan, Chetrri scored a brace to help India Tajikistan thump 4-2.

Chettri's brace has helped his international goals tally go beyond Argentine footballer Lionel Messi (68). After his brace against Tajikistan, Sunil Chettri became the second-highest goalscorer with a goal tally of 70. However, Cristiano Ronaldo still continues to be in the top of the list.
